Norway's INFERNO FESTIVAL: Tickets Selling Faster Than Ever Before
January 4, 2006According to the organizers of Norway's Inferno Festival, the three-day passes for this year's event are now completely sold out — the first time in the festival's history the pases have sold out this early. In addition, about 30 percent of the passes have been sold to metal fans abroad. There are still single-day tickets available for all three days, but they are continuing to sell at a faster pace than usual as well.
The Inferno kickoff party will take place on Friday, February 3 at John Dee in Oslo. The event, where the full lineup for the 2006 festival will be revealed, will feature "big and slighty less big" names from the Norwegian metal scene playing their versions of songs by DIO, SEPULTURA, PANTERA, SODOM, IRON MAIDEN etc.
The 2006 edition of the Inferno Festival will take place April 13-15 at the Rockefeller Music Hall and John Dee venues in Oslo, Norway. Bands scheduled to appear include the reunited black metal legends EMPEROR, MARDUK, BOLT THROWER, BLOODTHORN, BORKNAGAR, WITCHCRAFT and ENDSTILLE. 23 more bands are expected to be announced at the kickoff party.
